Swan Levitt - Alive
Got sent this beautiful song and asked what I'd do for a video. My immediate thought was to go to Scotland. We decided to shoot at Neist Point Lighthouse on the western tip of the Isle of Skye.
Set out at 5am from London for a mere 14 hour drive to Skye (I've done it before and i'll do it again) As soon as you get past Glasgow the views are totally worth it!
Shot all at sunrise and sunset over two days. the low light was a bit of a challenge but it suits the atmosphere. We'd initially hoped for some strong winds, stormy skies and big waves, instead we got clear skies, amazing sunsets, a calm sea and a full moon rising over the horizon. Looking back now I wouldn't have had it any other way.
Check out the video and some more pics below. Find out a bit more about Swan, who also takes rad photos, here.

Mini trek to the White Cliffs of Dover
Set off from London at 4am for what was supposed to be a sunrise at the White Cliffs. Turned out to be a wash of fog and grey cloud. But, actually, it felt very fitting for the atmosphere. Turned out to be the perfect time to go. It was just Sam and I for most of the morning. That is until this ghostly woman turned up and I’m convinced when I get my 35mm film back that the picture I took of her is gonna be surrounded by demons or something.
Here’s a quick vid I threw together from the morning with a little piece of music I made up years ago. Might make a habit of this on my travels. there's a few shaky handheld shots but it's just for fun innit. More photos below...
Sam caught me in my happy place. Check out his video and photos at https://www.instagram.com/samuellhocking

Snow days pt.I
For a week all we'd hear was "UK gripped by heavy snowfall". Gripped? I was definitely gripped I suppose but not the way they meant it. I Would just sit by the window while editing and watch the snow fall. I got up early every morning. Watching people walk in the middle of the street like there were no rules. I'd get up for sunrises, find excuses to go out and take photos at night. Now the snow has gone it's definitely washed away some magic with it. The blanket of white turned to grey slush pretty much instantly but at least I have a bunch of photos to remember it by.
Some shots from a super quick shoot with Nicola Matear before my hands froze off.
Shining Knights
It doesn't look like it but this was on a freezing cold day in Hackney Marshes. Ntiarna and Abbie, 2 of 3 triplets, were on their way back from a casting and stopped off for a super quick shoot. It was all super last minute, the only plan we had was long grass, but it was one of those days when everything aligned. Wherever I go i'm always making mental and physical notes of good spots to shoot in so if there is something minute I can pick something out that would work. You'll probably see their faces on all of those giant Asos ads around the city at the moment. I'm sure these guys are gonna be everywhere soon. Find the full set below...
